Liturgy, Laws & Dogmas

While we have no Bible, we do have a series of specifically worded documents held in agreement by large numbers of us. They are frequently quoted on websites but are rarely attributed to any author. Indeed, many Internet sites portray them as ancient, immutable laws when in fact most, if not all, are less than a century old. In fact, most are less than thirty years old, and their original authors frequently had no interest in disguising that fact.

Agreement with the following pieces is in no way required for Wicca. Many I don't even agree with, at least not completely. However, I think it important for those serious about Wicca to be at least familiar with what many other Wiccans do accept so that the reader may make decisions for himself, whether it be to accept them, reject them, or accept sections of them and write his own pieces. Indeed, I think writing your own is probably the best approach, but such undertakings should be approached with time to research and reflect.
